Policies
Volunteer Terms
What we expect of each other.
This policy is a working draft and will be finalised after review by the Foundation's legal advisors.
Voluntary service
Volunteering is unpaid and voluntary. It does not create an employment relationship with the Foundation.
Application & approval
All applications are reviewed. The Foundation may approve, decline or suspend a volunteer account at its discretion.
Conduct
Volunteers must treat beneficiaries, colleagues and partners with dignity and respect, follow safeguarding guidelines — especially when working with children, elders and vulnerable persons — and must not seek or accept any personal benefit.
Confidentiality
Information about beneficiaries and Foundation operations must be kept confidential. Photographs of beneficiaries may only be taken with consent and Foundation approval.
Commitments
Please honour your registrations. If you cannot attend, withdraw before the stated deadline so others may take your place.
Safety
Follow the instructions of activity coordinators. Volunteers participate at their own risk except where the law provides otherwise.
